Hal Watt was born in Southern California in 1925. He was educated in art at the Jepson Art Institute and The Art Center School of Los Angeles. Some of his notable instructors include Rico LeBrun, Lorser Feitleson, and Frances De Erdeley. Watt spent a short time painting for MGM and Columbia Motion Picture Studios. Not long after he decided to paint for Art Galleries. Watt paints charming images of landscapes as well as children. He combines spectacular color with elegant brushstrokes in order to capture the moment superbly.
