Yuri Gorbachev

Internationally acclaimed artist,Yuri Gorbachev, came to the United States from the former USSR in 1991. His works are in the permanent collections of the Louvre, the Kremlin Museum, the United Nations, The White House, and more than 20 museums around the world. In 1994 Gorbachev designed the annual Christmas ads for the famous Russian Vodka "STOLICHNAYA” and his prevalent "Holiday" paintings have been featured around the world in hundreds of magazines yearly. Gorbachev's works are exhibited in galleries and museums in the United States, Asia, Europe, and Australia. It was during his first visit to Asia when he realized his true calling as a painter – his connection to the Orient happened right away creating a dynamic that would have a great effect on his style and technique. Now living in New York City, he is the brightest and most well-known of the artists who came to America from the former USSR.
