Yuri Obuhovskiy was born in Perm. In 1987 he graduated from the picturesque branch of Penza Art College. Yuri works in the genre of landscape in oil painting and watercolors, continuing and developing the traditions of Russian realistic school, or rather its direction "Romantic Realism".

Since 1989 Yuri has had exhibitions in many galleries in Moscow and St. Petersburg.
