Alexandre Jay was born in Islington, London in 1972, and later moved to the English country of Northamptonshire, where he attended boarding school and excelled in the arts. During his early childhood he could always be found sketching, and enjoyed studying artwork in antique publications from his parents antique shop. Jay's passion lay with two distinct, yet diverse subject matters: landscapes and vintage aviation, especially that of World War 2. After finishing school, traditional art was put on the sidelines due to the growth of the computer industry. Jay began working with the vinyl graphics industry. During his first position with such a company, designing race car graphics, that he began a long association with vinyl sign and design for both public and commercial contracts. Climbing the career ladder, he eventually found himself as project manager in a corporate advertising company. Jay's passion for traditional art had never left him, and while working on his first novel, an artistic calling brought about a life changing decision for him. He decided to become a full time artist. It was a decision that he would not regret and one which has seen him rise to great heights. His works are sold to avid collectors for his unique style and are included in collections all over the world.
