Claude Cambour

Inspired by the village and environs of Giverny, made famous by Monet, Claude Cambour carries on the tradition and style of the French impressionist masters. Kown in art circles for his landscapes, painted out-of-doors, he has developed a style that is stamped with his own signature energy and yet one which pays tribute to the canons of impressionism. It is a style defined by glowing sunlight and luminous colors. Flower gardens, village roadways, towering forests and sparkling waterways are among the subjects for which Cambour is recognized, but his series of paintings on Giverny, and most especially Monet’s gardens, are what gives him his greatest acclaim.
