Craig credits the authentic and vibrant culture of New Orleans as a significant factor in what is at the heart of his passion, creativity and bliss. His personal photo albums are filled with images of his family members ritually painting each others faces for Mardi Gras, a holiday that is perhaps the largest costumed celebration or carnival in the world - an event that practically requires individuality and self adornment. Tracy says, "there was never any question regarding my being or becoming a professional artist. It was always just obvious and understood." His parents gifted him with his first airbrush at age 15 - a tool that immediately became his trademark. More than 20 years later, Tracy has long been one of the most iconic artists in the business, with his unforgettable images and creations instantly recognizable. He is an artist's artist, if you will, reflecting on his passion for art in this way: "I wanted [the work of other artists he admired] to surround me in my daily life. I found tremendous inspiration from having these images hanging in my home, beautifully framed and displayed in the majority of my living space. If I were to expect that others would purchase my images then I should have the respect to collect this beautiful work as well."
