D.W. Leeland

D.W. Leeland is an up and coming Las Vegas artist who is often talked about as the artist behind the artist; for years he worked as a printer separating colors as a chromist for artist like Rafael Olbinski, Waldamore Swerzy, Sheppard Fairy, Ringo Starr, Ron Wood and the list goes on.

During college at the Art Center college of Design in Pasadena, Leeland was mentored by the world renowned chromist Jean Pierre Reymond (Known for working with Salvador Dali and Picasso). From there, he was hired as the artist/color separator for S2art in Las Vegas, Nevada. Eventually Leeland wanted to created images of his own so he returned to what originally inspired him to render in the first place, his love for life drawing. Mostly the human form of women.

Leeland was responsible for the rendering of many American Film Institutes (AFI) top 100 movie posters of all time. Like the Wizard of Oz, Metropolis, Star Wars, and others. His images are currently showing at the Culture Cann Event, and other Downtown Las Vegas galleries.
