Howard Jason graduated from Otis Parsons Art Institute and did his post graduate study at the Pasadena Art Center. After graduating, he worked with his father, noted sculptor Mario Jason. Howard Jason’s subject matter originally focused on marine life. After the completion of a colossal sculpture “Daydream in Blue” was purchased quite quickly, doors opened to public commissions for universities and museums. In his more recent works, Jason creates figures of children at play. “Bronze is such a great medium to work with because figures can be put together in such a way that it looks as if they are floating in air, thus giving them a freedom of movement not found in other mediums” Says Jason.
