Jack Pine

Jack Pine’s passion for pumpkins stems from his childhood; his hometown, Circleville, Ohio, is known as “Pumpkin Town” and annually celebrates the fall harvest with the Pumpkin Show, the largest street festival in the United States. Pine left Circleville to study at The Columbus College of Art and Design, where he received a degree in Fine Art. Following the completion of his studies, Pine worked for Ornamental Blown Glass in Seattle, Washington and Maytum Glass Studio in Boulder, Colorado. Choosing glass as his medium, Pine founded his own studio, Jack Pine Studio. Pine began by making oil lamps and Christmas ornaments, but eventually, thanks to the suggestion of a friend, began creating glass pumpkins for the Circleville Pumpkin Show.

Pine ran Jack Pine Studio in Lakewood, Colorado for more than 15 years before relocating his studio to Columbus, Ohio to be closer to the annual Pumpkin Show. Jack Pine Studio produces many beautiful and decorative hand-blown glass pumpkins that are on display in homes and galleries around the world.
