Linda Sotillo was born in 1964 in Berlin, Germany. Traveling extensively with her family from an early age gave Sotillo a unique appreciation for different cultures, which has since heavily influenced her artwork. At age sixteen, Sotillo was offered a summer scholarship at the Atlanta College of Art. After serving in the army for a few years, she graduated in 1988 with a degree in Visual Communications from the Art Institute of Atlanta. Currently painting prolifically, and with a variety of different painting techniques, Sotillo’s art can be seen in galleries and agencies around the country, including the collections of Sears, Chase Manhattan, and Emory University.
