Olimpio Pozo was born in 1962 in Pasco, Peru, in a remote region of the Andes. At the age of 16 he moved to the capital city in order to achieve his dream of becoming a painter. He studied at the School of Arts in Lima where he graduated with the highest of honors. Pozo has been exhibiting in his own one man shows for nearly two decades and is highly regarded in his native country and abroad.
