Born in Canton, China in 1948, artist P. Tong came to America in 1988. Entirely self-taught in China, Tong studied art in the United States in order to become a full-time artist. Since completing his studies, Tong has displayed work in the Dau House, the Shannon Art Gallery, and Pereaux.
