Patrick Star is a character on the hit Nickelodeon animated show, SpongeBob Squarepants. The concept for SpongeBob was created by artist, animator and former marine biologist Stephen Hillenburg. It is an Emmy-nominated, animated television series and media franchise. Currently it is the most watched show on Nickelodeon. In 2007, it was named by TIME as one of the greatest television shows of all time and today SpongeBob is broadcast to audiences all across the globe.
