Paul Valere was born on October 26, 1923, in Berck sur Mer, France. He began drawing and sketching at a very early age and advanced to various paint mediums. Eventually he chose oil as his primary medium. His paintings, while inspired by the French countryside, and nostalgic towns and villages most familiar to him, have been given a fairytale feeling through his meticulous painting style.
