Pedro Tapia was born in Tacna, Peru in 1970. He studied art at the Federico Laso Art School in Tacna and later he matriculated to the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes del Peru in Lima. He has exhibited widely and is considered one of Peru's best artists.
