When Robert Tate was a freshman at Washington University he was awarded first place in the all college portrait competition. Now Tate is a Member of the National Watercolor Society, The American Portrait Society, The California Art Club and The National Society of Painters in Casein and Acrylics.

Tate is now fulfilling a lifelong dream painting for galleries, corporate portraits and the movie industry. He has achieved over 200 paintings of famous sports figures in NASCAR, baseball, basketball, football, hockey and horse racing.
