Hayley

California-born and Idaho-bred painter Hayley came to art late in the game, but her artistic talent is no surprise - her father is also an acclaimed painter. When the family relocated to Coeur d’Alene, Idaho, when she was young, her parents opened several stores and art galleries; art was a constant presence during her upbringing. Prior to the discovery of her aptitude for painting, Hayley spent some time developing other talents, including singing (she won a talent scholarship for as a runner-up in a Junior Miss pageant) and soccer (she played in college at Point Loma Nazarene University in San Diego, California). It wasn’t until a post-college Europe trip, when she had the opportunity to study the Old Masters “in the flesh,” that she developed an interest in the family business. With this burgeoning appreciation for the most inspiring works in the Western canon came the desire to inspire others and to communicate her view of life through art.

Hayley notes, “It’s exciting to take risks. When I’ve reached the end of my life I want to know I held nothing back; that I squeezed out every last bit of my potential.” Luckily, Hayley’s risky choice to pursue art has proved very successful. Using vividly hued acrylic paints on canvas, she creates paintings that capture moods and inspirations, affording viewers the opportunity to see life through her eyes. Hayley’s work appears in collections across the U.S. and has been featured on the hit ABC series “Extreme Makeover: Home Edition.”
