Hectman is a painter who began painting later in his lifetime. His works often depict cartoon like settings and Judaic themed imagery. Hectman often displays his pieces at local galleries and has held solo exhibits at the Boca Raton Museum. “My life has meaning when my art brings a smile to someone’s face. The piece titled “Yenta’s” was my late wife and her friends at their daily card game. That is how I remember her. In a small way, it’s my tribute.”
