Joshua Bradley

Growing up in rural Georgia in the 1970's, Joshua Bradley knows what it's like to "live off the land". As part of an extended family of farmers in that area, Bradley was fascinated from a young age by the natural beauty surrounding him, as well as the intricacies of farming equipment that people relied upon to work the fields. He got his start in art by drawing the machines, and then the landscapes that served as a backdrop to these metal beasts. What has always intrigued Bradley is the 'bigger picture' underlying and informing the deceptive simplicity of "small-town life".

It wasn't until the age of 17 that Joshua Bradley experienced his first art exhibit at High Museum in Atlanta, Georgia. Seeing the work of featured artists there made him realize that being an artist was indeed what he wanted to do for the rest of his life. Bradley attended the Savannah College of Art and Design where he was exposed to a huge new world of knowledge on many levels, inspiring him to adopt as one of his core beliefs a quote from Calvin Coolidge: "Press on: nothing in the world can take the place of perseverance. Talent will not; nothing is more common than unsuccessful men with talent. Genius will not; unrewarded genius is almost a proverb. Education will not; the world is full of educated derelicts. Persistence and determination alone are omnipotent."

Seeing the world from a much more enlightened perspective, Bradley returned to his hometown, creating art on a higher level. He debuted at the world famous Artexpo New York in 2004 and has enjoyed world-wide recognition ever since as a talented artist whose work is collected by admirers internationally.
