Born in the famous port of Callao, Peru in 1968, Miguel Angel Huaman studied painting and drawing at the Escuela Nacional de Bellas Artes, graduating with the highest honors. Well connected through family and friends, Huaman has established a strong following in Spain, where he regularly contributes to exhibitions in galleries such as the Galeria de Arte Iberoamericano in Madrid; Sala Caballo Blanco, in Pamplona; Centro Cultural El Padillero, in Cadiz; Conservatorio Municipal de Musica, in Vivero-Lugo and Foror Iberoamericano, in Huelva. In addition, Huaman exhibited at the Club Amigos del Peru in Washington, D.C., in 1992.
