Rodolfo Monier was born in Uruguay in 1930, and recieved his education in art at the National School of Fine Arts in Uruguay. Monier was an avid painter from an early age and recieved numerous awards throughout South America for his works. His scenes are not solely of his Native home, Monier also creates Romantic images of cities such as New York, Chicago, New Orleans, and San Fransisco. By applying chromatic tones and warm highlights Monier pays tribute to a time when life was far simpler and idyllic. Monier's works have been featured all over South America, and have been displayed at Galleries in New York, New Orleans; Walton Street Gallery, and Chicago.
