Stephanos Sideris was born on 1921 in Athens, Greece. His formal art education took place at the E.O.N. Art School. In the Attica Messagion Competition, Sideris received first prize. Sideris’ father did not approve of his artistic endeavors and insisted he study economics at the University of Athens. Stephanos honored his father’s wishes and earned his B.A. Although Sideris obtained his B.A. in economics, his love for art and art education was still prevalent. He had three successful art shows in Athens, Salonica, and Pireaus. In his ‘Provoli’ review, the press reported that “Sideris is an artist who will achieve great heights."
